As a central repository, the data warehouse provides a rich source of information that has been collected over the years at the school, the District and the provincial levels. The data are used to create standard reports that present information required by all the school at the elementary or secondary levels. Each school's data are reported in a standard template, and distributed on a regular basis.

For example, a cohort-based report may include a number of indicators of success on one topic such as mathematics or reading across multiple years. The report may also be a cross sectional examination of outcomes of different cohorts. For general administrative and planning purposes a school may require an ad hoc report containing school specific data on a particular topic or area of interest.
