For Data Owners

Cataloguing

A data catalogue is a systematic inventory of an organization's or institution's data. Many schools, districts, and other organizations have amassed great stores of data, but have no efficient means of determining what data they have, or what questions those data may be able to address.

To help overcome these obstacles, Edudata can build a searchable, user-friendly electronic catalogue of an organization's data that allows administrators, instructors, and policy makers to see quickly what information is at their disposal. Catalogues can be searched by keyword, topic, source, or by other criteria so that data-related questions can be answered efficiently.
